The Center is in the heart of San Juan in the Peninsula of Isla Grande, next to Old San Juan, with its rich 500-year history, and close to the gorgeous beaches of Condado and Isla Verde, the Hato Rey business district and the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport.
Featuring more than 36,400 square feet of meeting space and 600,000 square feet of total space, the Center reflects the shapes and colors of the Caribbean. Its interior colors capture the richness of the rainforest, the drama of moonlight on the ocean and the colors reflected off rippling pools.
The 152,700 square feet Exhibition Hall offers controllable lighting, full fiber-optic Internet connectivity, and electrical and utility connections readily accessible through state-of-the-art floor boxes. Meanwhile, the 39,500 square feet Ballroom, the largest in the Caribbean, has a production control balcony, integrated fiber-optic Internet connectivity and integrated audio system with capability for remote recording of programs. Likewise, the 15 meeting rooms can be reconfigured into 28 breakouts and include fully programmable lighting controls.

The Puerto Rico Convention Center has unveiled a new solar energy array that is one of the largest green initiatives of its kind on the island. The largest convention center in the Caribbean has been fitted with 5MW of PV across 17,764 panels over car parking and 2,139 panels on the main roof of the building. The 5MW plant will generate around 8,000kWh of electricity annually. Construction of the plant took eight months and required around $20 million of investment.
There are exclusive and preferred vendor agreements related to the use of the Puerto Rico Convention Center (PRCC).
Food & Beverage
All food and beverage at the PRCC must be provided by the PRCC Food & Beverage Department. Exceptions to this must be received in writing from the director of Food & Beverage prior to your event.
Telephone and Internet
All telephone and fax lines as well as all Internet connectivity outside the Business Center are provided by PSAV.
Parking and valet services are provided exclusively through the PRCC Security Department.
All rigging done in the PRCC must be provided by PSAV or other of our preferred suppliers, depending on the type of rigging.
The Center's preferred in-house audio-visual provider, Presentation Services Audio-Visual (PSAV), offers a full range of audiovisual services, including slide and video projection, sound reinforcement, video production, etc.
Outside suppliers are permitted to operate in the PRCC with prior notification. However, use of the meeting room audio or house system is the exclusive right of PRCC through the house A/V contractor. If you select a provider other than PSAV for your event but utilize the house sound system, patch fees and labor costs for an audio technician will be applied at the prevailing rate.
Presentation Services Audio Visual (PSAV)
All contractors wishing to provide service to events at the Puerto Rico Convention Center are subject to approval by the Center prior to commencing work on-site. This applies to all contractors supplying all show services such as audiovisual, electrical, cleaning, and security.
The licensee is required to notify the event manager of the contractors selected at least sixty (60) days in advance of the event for initiating and securing the appropriate agreements.

Services & facilities
Hours of Operation
The standard hours of operation for the administrative staff are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our standard operating hours for client-leased spaces are 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
The Center provides information for restaurants, shopping areas, entertainment and attractions. The Information Desk is staffed for night conventions, conferences and trade shows, and is conveniently located in the main lobby.
Telecommunications & Internet
The Telecommunications Department provides exclusive in-house services that can be tailored to meet specific event organizer and exhibitor needs. The facility can provide broadband and wireless Internet connectivity at high speeds (T-1), videoconferencing, and simultaneous language translations, among other services. All meeting rooms and ballrooms are equipped with Ethernet connection and capabilities. Telephones are installed and billed per ordered specifications.
The on-site Business Center is conveniently located in the lobby. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and can be extended as needed. Services and products include computer rental, printing, secretarial service, copying, fax transmission and receipt, small package shipping, office products, and other services.
Self-parking lots are located adjacent to the Convention Center with capacity for 2,215 vehicles.
The Center offers in-house security for the premises only. The Building Security Staff maintains 24-hour security coverage for the Center's perimeter areas, internal corridors and life safety alarm system. Building Security Staff will also secure exterior and interior access doors as well as monitor internal traffic flow.
All incidents of injury, vandalism, fire, theft, etc. should be reported to the Central Security Office immediately. Following notification of any incidents, Building Security Staff will initiate appropriate reports and investigations.
Event security can be arranged through the Event Manager or with one of the pre-qualified security companies that we have available. Ask your Event Manager for the most updated list.
Catering and Concessions
The Food & Beverage Department is prepared to offer the finest quality products and service for all functions, from coffee breaks to exquisite gala banquets. Catering menus are available from the Food & Beverage Department.
Concession operations are available to provide retail sale food and beverage services for events. Permanent stands and portable theme-carts will enhance any event's program by featuring a variety of specialty food and beverage items. Special menus are available to event organizers and exhibitors that will provide in-booth food service.
The Center staff takes great pride in the care of the facility. Every aspect of the facility is maintained to provide you with a clean and attractive environment to house your event and welcome your members, registrants, patrons and guests.
Our in-house Cleaning Department can provide event-cleaning services on a non-exclusive basis. Please let your Event Manager know if you choose this service so that a proposal specific to your event can be prepared.
Should you elect to use an outside cleaning contractor during your event, the Center’s Cleaning Department will maintain all public common areas, i.e., lobbies, hallways, rest rooms and meeting rooms except when those areas are being utilized as exhibition space. PRCC operates with a “clean hall to clean hall” policy; therefore, loading docks, exhibition floor (including aisle trash receptacles), offices, and registration area cleaning is the responsibility of the event organizer or exhibitor and their contracted cleaner.

Our Business Center is located right where you need it, inside the Puerto Rico Convention Center. We offer full range of business services that are convenient and competitively priced.
