Boats, Catamarans & Yachts

Crystal clear waters, wind in your hair, and salty days await you in Puerto Rico.

With hundreds of miles of coastline all around the Island and year-round winds averaging 10 to 15 knots, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Puerto Rico is a boater’s dream come true.

From sailing charters to private catamaran trips, experiencing Puerto Rico by sea is as memorable as it is beautiful. With perfect boating weather throughout the year, the Island’s marinas are ready to help you set sail. There are three marinas in San Juan and seven in Fajardo, including the largest marina in the Caribbean, called Puerto del Rey.

a sailboat idles near Icacos islet.

Icacos is the largest islet in the Cordillera Nature Reserve.

You can check listings for Club Naútico and find options stretching from the southern town of Ponce to the eastern coast in Fajardo. Take the water route to Vieques or Culebra's islands and enjoy a day (or more) at some of the best beaches in the world.

It’s easy to rent a boat or catamaran and explore the Caribbean waters on your own. However, if you prefer to sip on a rum and coke while someone else does the captain work, there are catamaran, boat, and yacht tours available around the Island. Some marinas in Fajardo offer luxury yacht trips complete with your drink of choice that will take you to one of Fajardo’s lovely beaches where you can relax or snorkel the day away.
