MAST All-Star Trip
The Sales team, represented by Johanna González and Cristina Fernández, welcomed the MAST All-Star Trip group at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve.
The program, organized by the MAST Travel Network—a Midwest-based travel agency consortium—brought together its top producers to enjoy tours and site inspections across several locations on the Island.
This visit allowed agents to experience firsthand the accommodations, gastronomy, and attractions that make Puerto Rico a competitive and diverse destination.
VIP Dinner in Mexico City
As part of its efforts to strengthen the destination’s presence in the Mexican market, Discover Puerto Rico hosted a VIP dinner in Mexico City with leading media outlets such as Accent, Aire, Radio Fórmula, POST Mag, Travel Report, El Financiero, Ladevi, Reforma, and Design Hunter.
The event featured Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeroméxico, and celebrated the upcoming launch of the new Mexico City–San Juan direct flight, which begins service on October 29, 2025.
Guests enjoyed the award-winning cocktail “Hijos de Quintón,” crafted by mixologist Carlos Borges, and a special performance by Latin Grammy–nominated artist Raquel Sofía, who closed the evening with an emotional rendition of “En mi Viejo San Juan.”
Puerto Rico Shines at Cruise Planners Annual Convention
Discover Puerto Rico, represented by Johanna González from the Leisure Sales team, participated in the CPWorld Annual Convention hosted by Cruise Planners in Ft. Lauderdale.
During the event, González led a presentation in the “Fun in the Sun” session and took part in the trade show, where she connected with travel advisors eager to learn more about the unique experiences and diverse offerings that make Puerto Rico a standout destination.
The enthusiastic reception from participants reaffirmed the growing interest among industry professionals in including the Island in their travel itineraries and recommendations.
Participation in the American Marketing Association Conference
Janid Ortiz, Director of Industry Affairs, and Miguel Bahri, Social Media Manager at Discover Puerto Rico, participated in the conference organized by the American Marketing Association (AMA), University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Chapter.
Under the theme “Tourism in Puerto Rico and the Importance of Sustainability,” they shared Discover Puerto Rico’s role in destination marketing and presented The Green Path initiative to an audience of nearly 80 students interested in marketing and tourism.
The AMA is a national association with over 333 university chapters—from Puerto Rico to Hawaii—dedicated to connecting brands with students and facilitating their transition into the workforce. Recently, the local chapter was recognized within the Platinum Circle for its excellence and commitment.
