Over the past few weeks, Discover Puerto Rico has taken part in several key initiatives with tourism industry stakeholders—from hotel leaders to travel advisors—further consolidating its institutional reach and presence. Below are some highlights from these recent collaborations:
Strategic Relations and Visibility: The Destination’s Recent Collaborations
Immersive Experience with Travel Advisors
From June 23 to 27, a fam trip was held with travel advisors from CCRA, who explored various regions of the Island—from Old San Juan to northern municipalities such as Manatí and Hatillo. One of the trip’s most memorable stops was Vaca Negra, where participants enjoyed an educational farm-to-cheese experience. The itinerary showcased the destination’s diversity and helped build connections for future sales opportunities.
Special thanks to the partners who helped make this experience possible: La Concha Resort – Autograph Collection, Hotel El Convento & Palacio Provincial, Fairmont El San Juan, Casa BACARDÍ, and Royal Sonesta San Juan.
Destination Presentation in Chicago
On June 30, we hosted the CCRA Chicago Chapter’s regional meeting. The event welcomed 30 travel advisors, who took part in a Lunch & Learn session and an institutional presentation on Puerto Rico’s tourism offering. This activity was part of a cooperative partnership with CCRA aimed at strengthening relationships with U.S.-based travel sellers.
Meeting with International Hospitality Development
During a session held at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan, Discover Puerto Rico presented its tourism outlook for 2025, current digital initiatives, and recent collaborations with content creators. The meeting fostered open dialogue around destination development opportunities and helped strengthen ties with key representatives in the hospitality sector.
Site Visit to DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan
As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen local hotel relationships, the Discover Puerto Rico team conducted a technical visit to the DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan. The tour covered guest rooms, common areas, and group event spaces, offering valuable insight into the property for future destination presentations.
Editorial Release Highlights Language and Cultural Identity
Among recent cultural launches is El ABC de DtMF, a dictionary inspired by Bad Bunny’s album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. The publication compiles popular expressions, place names, and Puerto Rican cultural references found in the album, with examples drawn directly from the lyrics. Designed in the colors of the Puerto Rican flag and featuring local visual aesthetics, the book is generating attention as both a cultural artifact and a tool for better understanding the Island’s identity. Created and printed in Puerto Rico, it holds potential for integration into hospitality spaces as a souvenir or informational piece.
Dashboard Report – May 2025
The May edition of our Dashboard Report is now available, summarizing research findings, sales results, and communications efforts. This tool helps evaluate the impact of current initiatives and align future actions with market conditions.
These recent partnerships and efforts reaffirm the organization’s commitment to the tourism industry and strengthen Puerto Rico’s positioning across various levels of the tourism ecosystem.
