The University of Puerto Rico's Botanical Garden in San Juan has more than 30,000 native species, endangered species, lakes, waterfalls, trails, and sculptures. The Botanical Garden covers more than 289 hectares, and it has a herbal preservation room with 36,000 preserved plant samples.

You can visit the garden on your own, or you can arrange a guided visit ahead of time. Reservations are required for visiting the garden, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
