Aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19, the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) developed a mandatory Health and Safety Program with rigorous guidelines that must be implemented by all endorsed tourism-related businesses. These safety rules follow the industry standards established by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the OSHA 3990 report, and the Puerto Rico Department of Health.
Lodging properties receive the Health and Safety Seal after completing PRTC's health and safety ambassadors' inspection. The listings that display this badge have successfully proven to meet or exceed the mandatory norms stipulated in the Health and Safety Operational Guide issued by PRTC.
