The Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music (PRCM) is a public institution of higher learning that offers professional programs of excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as services, studies, and programs aimed at the community at large. As the musical university of Puerto Rico, the PRCM is dedicated to the development of musicians in the fields of music performance, composition, jazz, Caribbean music, and music education. The institution exercises a leadership role in the musical and cultural life of Puerto Rico and is committed to preserve and disseminate the Puerto Rican, Caribbean, and Latin American musical heritage, thus developing future generations of professional musicians.

The PRCM first-class facilities located at the Miramar historic area, near Condado and Old San Juan, provide a wide range of cultural events for students and general public like Tardes de Jazz, performed every other Wednesday in the late afternoons, at the outdoor amphitheater Plaza de la Laguna and the well known Conciertos en Familia on Sundays at the Sanromá Concert Hall, with space for 400 persons.
