About
La Casa del Libro Museum Library (LCDL) houses a world–renowned collection of rare books from the 15th century on, historical documents, printing presses, book arts related artifacts and art exhibits.
Temporary shows on rare books, book arts and artists take turns throughout the year.
When not on display, rare books are shown by appointment only. Please call in advance if you are interested in a private show.
La Casa del Libro’s mission is to foster knowledge and stimulate creativity through the oldest object created to preserve the work and thought of mankind: the book. Book arts workshops are offered all year round where children and adults create their own works in a stimulating environment guided by bookmakers and professional artists.
The museum's beautiful store features museum items, books, Puerto Rican arts and crafts plus unique gifts and souvenirs in support of LCDL’s mission.
