The Puerto Rico Museum of Natural History and Conservation educates visitors about the geological origins of the archipelago, spanning from approximately 175 million years ago to the present day. Its mission is to strengthen a sense of belonging and stewardship among Puerto Ricans by expanding knowledge and highlighting the Island’s natural heritage as a foundation for preservation, conservation, and education for current and future generations.
The museum also serves as an incubator for future scientists, supporting academic and professional development, research, and knowledge exchange through a local and global network of scientific collaboration.
