Balneario Javier Calderón "Cerro Gordo"

About

The Javier Calderón Balneario, better known as Cerro Gordo in Vega Alta, is a government-run beach administered by Puerto Rico's National Parks program. It is recognized, not only for its spectacular beach but also for its camping area, which has enough spaces for 95 tents. There are showers, bathrooms, food and drink kiosks, and multiple green areas.

The camping spaces have to be reserved in advance through the National Park's program. The price for tent per night is $13.00 and prices for vehicles vary from motorbikes at $2.00, cars at $4.00 and buses at $5.00.
