Mt. Britton Tower

About

Constructed of stone, the tower was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937-38, becoming the tallest of the Civilian Conservation Corp towers built with stone masonry. On a clear day, the tower’s observation deck affords the lucky hiker a panoramic view of the surrounding forest, the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, and the southeastern, and northeastern coastal plain.

Mt. Britton Tower is located within El Yunque Rainforest. To reach it, you'll need to do a 1.3 km hike that takes around 45-minutes (each way).
