Sabor del Pueblo

Taste your way around Puerto Rico, one town at a time. ¡Ven a probar!

Join Puerto Rican artist and muralist Bianca Montoya, creator of The Unusual Girls, and her beloved abuela, María Legrand "Abu La Fabu", as they travel across the Island to discover the flavors, stories, and local favorites that make Puerto Rico´s municipalities unique.

Follow along as they sip fresh coffee at Caffellatte, try unexpected ice cream flavors like garlic and avocado at Heladería Lares in Lares.

In Mayagüez, bite into a soft, sweet brazo gitano filled with fruity preserves at Franco Brazo Gitano, and then stop by Ricomini Bakery.

Their food adventure then takes them to Guayama for crispy pastelillos with surprising fillings like shark or cocodrile, a taste of the famously oversized alcapurria at La Casa de los Pastelillos, and try fresh snapper at Bahía House.
