Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico

Located in the verdant Río Grande, the all-inclusive Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico is a traveler’s wonderland. Canvassed by the soft, rolling hills of El Yunque National Rainforest, the resort also overlooks the beach. Guests rave about the Grand Reserve Golf Club (an 18-hole course on site) and the serene Rainforest Spa.

There are 12 accessible parking spaces available, each next to accessible entrances and common areas. What’s more, 10 individual guest rooms and villas are ADA-compliant, each offering visual and auditory alarms for travelers in the blind or deaf communities. All pools are accessible, too.

The Combate Beach Resort

If you’re looking for a seaside hotel experience, The Combate Beach Resort in Cabo Rojo delivers. This southwestern beach town lends the resort a coastal feel mirrored by the ocean’s glittering waters. Enjoy breakfast, complete with local coffee each morning, before exploring the area’s large-scale reefs.

This resort offers accessible parking spaces suited for cars and vans. Access ramps are available in all common areas so that you can navigate the property with ease. Many amenities are at standard wheelchair height, like the reception desk and peepholes on hotel room doors. For guests in the deaf community, several rooms offer audiovisual smoke alarms, vibrating alarm clocks, and a flashing doorbell. Guests with mobility challenges can use the pool’s lift to swim and play.

Residence Inn San Juan

The boutique Residence Inn San Juan, located in Carolina’s bustling Isla Verde resort area, offers no shortage of glamour. The lobby’s Chantilly-white interior, flecked with shades of indigo and emerald, ushers guests through reception into a poolside cocktail lounge where tropical relaxation awaits.

The hotel is largely ADA-compliant, from the lobby to the pool bar. Ten rooms on-site offer ADA-compliant bathtubs or roll-in showers, and the main pool has a lift for guests with mobility disabilities. When you’re ready to explore, find your vehicle in one of six accessible parking spaces.

Hampton Inn & Suites San Juan Resort

This San Juan hotel keeps on-the-go travelers in mind. Located off Route 37, the Hampton Inn & Suites San Juan Resort is a short distance from Isla Verde Beach, as well as restaurants, bars, and nightlife. Savor complimentary hot breakfast and coffee, an on-site restaurant, and — for those on business – a conference center.

Park in one of six accessible spaces before entering the ADA-compliant common area. Ramps are common throughout the hotel, so it’s easy to navigate areas like the front desk or breakfast nook. There are seven rooms available to guests with special mobility needs, like tubs with portable or permanent tub seats. Several portable telephones, fire, and doorbell strobes are available upon request. For those who enjoy swimming, a pool lift is available as well.

Fairfield by Marriott Luquillo Beach

This bright and cheerful Fairfield by Marriott Luquillo Beach shines in Luquillo, where it overlooks a 12-mile stretch of tropical coastline dotted by mountain peaks. When you’re not heading to the beach, enjoy a dip in the outdoor pool or a light bite at a nearby al-fresco kiosk.

The hotel boasts not only accessible parking, but smooth sidewalks with good curb mobility and accessible elevators. ADA-compliant rooms are equipped with tubs and roll-in showers. Guests with auditory needs can ask for visual alarms and assistive devices for their doors and phones. The pool features a wheelchair lift, but the hotel itself is also close to the widely accessible Luquillo Beach.
