A United Nations International Biosphere Reserve, the Guánica State Forest, also know as El Bosque Seco de Guánica, is one of the most extensive tropical dry coastal forests in the world, totaling around 9,000 acres of land. The reserve features 12 different trails to choose from, with varying degrees of difficulty. It is a paradise for birdwatchers with a variety of exotic birds that thrive in warm habitats. The forest is a nature-lover ideal adventure, as it contains more than 600 species of flora and fauna, as well as its 48 endangered animal species. Designated as a biosphere by the United Nations, this reserve is perfect for climbing, biking, and enjoying a day at the beach.
