Designed in accordance with the strictest and most modern standards of contemporary museum design, the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR) is composed of 130,000 square feet of modern spaces.
The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR) has 24 exhibition galleries distributed between the historical building in the west wing and the addition in the east wing.

The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR) offers a variety of guided tours. Visitors can select the type of visit that will ensure maximum enjoyment of their visit to the Museum. Visitors can also choose to join one of the scheduled tours during the weekends without a previous appointment. The MAPR has a team of docents and interpreters trained especially to offer a rich experience to any visitor, regardless of age.

Guided tours (without appointments) Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Please call 787.977.6277, ext. 2249, to confirm the guided tour.

Through a previous appointment and with no additional cost to the MAPR’s Admission fee, you can also enjoy a guided tour of the MAPR. The tours, for general public audiences, school groups, and university students, can be offered in English and Spanish.
